Location and Props:

Location:
In our film trailer there is quite a range of scenes and settings. In our group we have discussed which would be the most effective and money saving way in which we could create the setting and scene in which would desire for that certain clip.
One of the very first clips is of the mourning looking over a grave stone. This created quite a deal of problems, as the group found that there maybe quite and ethical problem about filming someones grave stone. We decided that in the group we talk and ask the local vicar (who happens to be my dad), to see if he could offer any advise on this situation. He said that it would be possible to use a gravestone just edit the name out. However as a group we did not feel too comfertable with this and decide no to use this clip.
One of the frequent shots in the film trailer is of the woman having dreams at night in her bed. This scene required the appearance of quite a simple, blank room. As a group we decided that the bed she is in should be a double bed, as she would have shared it with her husband. Also because it would only have her in it which will show the idea of her being a little lonely. The bedroom we have decided to use is my own as I have   white walls which will allow us to get the blank feel we wanted and to give us more options to experiment with.

The last shots are of the woman going into a mental hospital. We decided that a mental hospital would have quite solid doors with small window like gaps. Our school was an old hospital, therefore the doors are quite heavy and have the solid look we are looking for. We wanted the rrom to feel tight and small, therefore we deicide to use the entrance into my bedroom and hold a whit sheet up to give the illusion of a mental hospital room.

Props:
When we were thinking about the location, the idea of props would occasionally come in. Therefore we decided to write about what props we would use too.

One of the iconic props in our film would be the item in which the baby is found in. This would be either a cot or a Moses basket. We decided as a group that it may be more likely that it is a Moses basket, as the baby would be a new born. We though of a range of people who may have one they would let us borrow. We could not find one, therefore we would have to find a soloution when it came to filming.
Another item that is important to the plot and idea of the film trailer is a pillow as effectively this becomes a clue throughout the film trailer. This was quite an easy item to get hold off and as a group decided that we would use one from my own house as this is possibly were the filming will be taking place.

The group then went on to decide were we would get a police vehicle from. We made a decision that it is probably best that we asked Emma's dad if he would possibly consider doing this scene for us as he owns a police van. However anothe option would be to show a clip of the detective arriving in a normal car, rather than an action shot of the police car.
The most important object was the baby itself. We decided as a group that it might be easier to work with a realistic looking doll. This baby would either from a friend who has one from her child hood or from the health and social area of the school. However we faced whether the baby would realistic enough and we decided if we got the right shoot and lighting that it would work.
